St. Thomas' East End Beaches

Escape the traffic and crowded beaches and head East on St. Thomas, USVI, where pristine turquoise waters and talc-like white sand beaches await. Keep reading for information on the top three beaches on the East End of St. Thomas.

Coki Point Beach

Coki Point Beach on St. Thomas, USVI offers travelers the true local experience. Dive into the ocean and explore the coral reefs that surround the beach, or visit Coral World Ocean Park, just steps away from the sand. Catch yourself some lionfish and take it to the guys at Off The Grid restaurant on the beach, where they will cook it to your liking. Be sure to get a fresh made smoothie at one of the beach huts, where the best local fruit is blended with rum to give you the tastiest beach drink.

Sapphire Beach

As you drive down the road headed to Sapphire Beach on St. Thomas, USVI, you can’t help but stop and take in the view. Stunning, panoramic views of St. John and the British Virgin Islands speckle the turquoise waters surrounding Sapphire Beach. Once you’ve made it to the beach, get a team together to play a round of beach volleyball at the net. Be sure to bring your snorkel gear, as this spot is a goldmine for finding sand dollars.

Smith Bay/Lindquist Beach

This little slice of heaven has recently been given an upgrade, as the former dirt road has been paved, and a parking lot for visitors has been created. But don’t let the idea of development scare you away. Smith Bay/Lindquist beach on St. Thomas’ East End is still quite undisturbed, and offers travelers a long stretch of curving beach, so privacy is possible. Fun fact: this beach was featured on one DirecTV’s 2015 commercials!
